The grammar in this lesson
- ま み む め も: the m-row — ma, mi, mu, me, mo, and the ぬ / め pair.
- や ゆ よ and ら り る れ ろ — Only three y-letters, and the light Japanese r.
- わ, を and ん: hiragana complete — わ wa, を (said o, grammar only), and ん, the only letter that is just a consonant.
