On the first morning of the 学園祭, Lisa and Matsumoto hand out the newspaper club's special issue.

By the end you will be able to say

We printed 300 copies all at once.
Let's hand out the paper booth by booth.
When you visit, please pick up a paper at the front desk.
We printed it after reading it many times and fixing it.
Through the paper, I want the people in town to get to know the café.

The grammar in this lesson

  1. Through, all year round: 〜を 通じて / 〜を 通して — Noun + を 通じて (or を 通して) means 'through' a means or a person, or 'throughout' a stretch of time.
  2. When (on notices): 〜際に — Noun + の 際に, or a verb + 際に, is the formal way to say 'when' on notices and in announcements.
  3. After doing it properly: 〜た 上で — た form + 上で (or noun + の 上で) says you do one thing first and then the next on that basis.
  4. Each, every: 〜ごとに — Noun + ごとに means 'each one separately' (ブースごとに) or 'at every interval' (一時間ごとに).
  5. All at once: 一度に — 一度に means 'at one time, all at once'; 一度 alone means 'once'.
